Race 8 Gold Coast 7.07 Freddie Fox Trot (6/5)
Talented 5yo who justified favouritism to score by a nose here over 1200m last time; excuses before that being forced wide and losing a plate but still finishing second; clearly bang in form and should take the beating again.
The wide gate is the only concern for me as I think FREDDIE FOX TROT is better than these. He has speed to burn so if he pings the lids he will be able to get across and race prominent. I wouldn’t want him to get too far back as Grey Missile is also a decent sort. It’s a good match-up and I’m confident we’re on the right one! The Aussie NAP is now chasing four wins in a row so fingers crossed the win streak continues. You never know we might chase down the US run (long way to go though).

Strong looking filly who ran well when second here on penultimate start before racing against tough opposition at Sandown last time; this much easier now and well drawn so looks to have a good chance of making the breakthrough.
There’s a lot to like about class dropper BONNE GEISHA here for John Sadler. She has been highly tried and back in calmer waters can open her account at the fifth time of asking. She wasn’t disgraced last time and that looks a strong piece of form. She has potential going forward. Dihhi is probably the one I fear most as she ran well when chasing home Trench Warfare at Geelong. She should still have more to offer so is likely to be in the shake-up. Desert Realm and Strong Pride are also likely to be thereabouts.
