Race 4 Albany 7.15 Fangio (11/8)
Likeable mare who improved from her promising debut runner-up to open her account at just the second time of asking over C&D last time; up in class but clearly on the upgrade and with further improvement to come fancied to go in again.
Well backed on debut FANGIO could only manage second but she looked as though she’d improve plenty for the experience and up to this trip last time she made no mistake, drawing clear to win by just over a length at the line. With further gains likely now she will be tough to beat even up in class. Mr Mt Walker likes to lead and is drawn wide so will need to be quick away to have a chance. Danger if he is! Of the rest Starauthoress could go well from a good draw but does need to bounce back from a lacklustre run.

Race 7 Toowoomba 6.39 Concave (9/4)
Ran on strongly to win by a head at Beaudesert earlier this month; progressing nicely now and looks to have strong claims of following up with a bit of pace on; will be looking to come late and sure to go close granted usual luck in running.
The likeable CONCAVE is taken to make it back-to-back victories for Chris Waller. He is going the right way now and looks a horse to keep on side. I liked the way he made up the ground before winning last time and with a similar scenario likely to play out here I don’t think anything will be finishing as well. Column ran second last time beaten just a nose so a similar performance here will see him involved. Rerun and Richest are entitled to be thereabouts so are respected too but I think it’s the favourites to lose if it goes to plan.
