Gleneagles colt who showed promise amidst greenness when down the field on debut at Chantilly in March; stepped forward markedly to win impressively at Compiegne next start and open to any amount of improvement now; could be a very nice prospect.
I’m looking forward to seeing Andre Fabre’s BRING ON THE NIGHT in the De Solferino Stakes at Deauville on Sunday. This colt won handsomely at Compiegne last time and with further improvement to come could be a smart horse in the making. This is tougher but he is clearly on the upgrade and that’s reflected in his price in the market. Boudot is in the saddle and everything looks set for a big run. L’Aigle is also by Gleneagles and will find this easier than his latest assignment so has to be respected in opposition.

Deauville 4.35 Larno (5/2)
Looks to have a class edge on this field; some strong handicap form in the book and while he proved disappointing at Longchamp last time he is a danger to all dropping into this company and looks to have a leading chance under Soumillon.
Make no mistake this won’t take much winning so while LARNO is one of our more confident selections of the day we do have to issue a word of warning as it is a low-grade affair. He has run some crackers in much stronger company than this though so if you forgive that latest effort he will be a danger to all under Soumillon. I expect him to step forward physically for that last run and he should be extremely competitive now. Naab is another horse dropping in class so should get involved. Probably the main threat.
