THE FRENCH NAP RUNS AT DIEPPE ON TUESDAY AS WE LOOK TO LAND FOUR WINNERS IN A ROW!
Dieppe 1.25 Kourkan (6/4)
Smart horse who looked good winning a Listed race at Saint-Cloud November 2018; creditable efforts in defeat since and chased home the exciting Miss O’Connor in a Group 3 in October; need to forgive last run; obvious chance on return.
Down in grade on return KOURKAN looks to have a huge shout of returning to the winners enclosure. He is a smart horse and his form shows that having recorded a Listed win a couple of years ago and more recently chasing home Miss O’Connor at Saint-Cloud. If you can forgive him that last run he will prove too good here. I’m expecting him to be a warm order come post time, certainly wouldn’t want to see his price drift at all with fitness taken on trust back from 6 months off. Won fresh before!

Dieppe 11.40 Xaaros (15/8)
Likeable colt who looks capable of better yet; needed the run when out his depth in a Group 3 on return from a short break at Chantilly; won over this trip at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in February; a lot to like in a weak race with Boudot on board.
Another horse stepping down in grade, XAAROS looks to have leading claims in the claimer over 5.5f on the straight course at Dieppe today. He has a good draw and Boudot has been booked for the ride. He scored twice last season and should strip fitter for that return at Chantilly when down the field. This is a race that lacks strength in depth so if he puts his best foot forward he should have too much. I think a lot will come down to luck in running as if Boudot has him well positioned which he should he is expected to win.
