Angers 1.24 Marbling (5/2)
Kingman filly who went down just a short head on debut at Compiegne, running home strongly but drifting out left-handed through greenness; improved on that to finish third to Hurricane Ivor on return, penny still dropping; the one to beat now.
The improving MARBLING is taken to make the breakthrough here for Fabre and Cheminaud. She showed good potential on debut but inexperience cost her and stepped forward markedly to finish third last time at Chantilly. Visually the penny still looked to be dropping so with that under her belt she looks to have the required ability to come out on top now. Thread Of Silver is a nice filly by Shamardal and she won’t go down without a fight. I fancy the pair to finish 1-2. Of the rest Digression is interesting but might need it.

Angers 12.50 Kraquante (4/1)
Bated Breath filly who improved markedly from her debut effort to open her account at Longchamp in October, digging in bravely and pulling out more to win convincingly; not disgraced behind Tropbeau in Group company latest; could be the answer.
It will be interesting to see if KRAQUANTE pushes forward. I think that would be the best tactics as he finds plenty for pressure but might be susceptible to a turn of foot. Hopefully Pasquier makes it a test and he strings them out. He obviously stays further so would be a tough nut to crack. Olympic Glory gelding Tepeka is the favourite and he is respected but I don’t think there should be that much between them in the market though I do think it’s between the pair. Ayaad needs to do more for me to get involved.
