Promising filly who is a half-sister to Green Laser who won twice at 6f and 1m1f including a Group 3 race; made the perfect start winning on debut over C&D when last seen in March; can improve and should make it 2-2.
Hard to see past ANYTHING GOES here for Stuart Pettigrew. She was sent off at 15/2 on debut so probably wasn’t expected to go and win how she did. She quickened up readily and powered through up the inside to win going away. It was a very taking performance! Any improvement and she wins again. 6/4 looks very generous (drifted this morning). Elusive Woman is probably the biggest danger as she won well at Vaal a couple of starts back and will be involved if returning to that level.

Turffontein 1.10 Lady Amherst (11/8)
Improving filly who built on an encouraging debut when beaten just a neck on first start over a mile at Vaal last time; can step forward again and if she does she should win this as experience will count for plenty; most likely winner.
The Next Best runs in the Maiden Plate at Turffontein and LADY AMHERST looks a good bet to go one better for Alec Laird. She ran a cracker when denied just a neck last time and while those who followed her would have been left a bit frustrated (went off 8/11) hopefully it was just money lent to the bookies and she can gain quick compensation. However you break this down she looks the most likely winner. Ideal Angel is an intriguing newcomer but she’ll have to be pretty forward to overhaul the favourite.
