Showed plenty on debut, pulling clear with a filly conceding 7lb denied just a head; sharp 6f looks ideal and that experience will make him extremely tough to beat as he can improve on that too; the one to beat.
This looks a glaring opportunity for KRAKEN POWER to get off the mark. He ran a cracker on debut denied just a head in the end but he was giving the winner 7lb and they pulled miles clear from the rest. With that initial effort under his belt he can improve and go one better. There is only one other rival with a run under her belt and that’s Time Has Wings. She didn’t show much on debut so is up against it. The debutants will have to run to a decent level to trouble the favourite. Even at 11/10 he looks a good price.

Haydock 5.20 My Girl Maggie (11/8)
Camelot filly who bumped into handicap blot Revolver at Pontefract last time; the pair pulled 18 lengths clear from the rest and that horse has since won by four lengths off a 6lb higher mark; sure to go close.
This looks a great opportunity for MY GIRL MAGGIE to open her account. She is undoubtedly well handicapped off a mark of 70 and with that recent bit of form having already worked out well she should have too much for main market rival King’s Charisma. The latter won well at Redcar on Sunday but a 6lb penalty makes life tougher and he is turned out quickly which might count against him here. It’s hard to see anything else getting involved as the market looks to have it spot on between the front two.
