Huge eye-catcher on debut slowly into stride and running green when trying to make up ground before finishing strongly; only beaten a length or so and over eight lengths clear from the rest; sure to know more now and obvious chance.
This looks all about BODAK YELLOW for me. He really ran on well once the penny dropped on debut and with that initial effort under his belt he can go one better. This looks a very winnable race so it will be disappointing if he can’t get the job done. Et Tu Brute had excuses on debut. Like the selection he was slowly away and then the saddle slipped so he should step forward from that and can put up the most resistance. Spanish Colt will also improve but needs much more to even trouble the favourite let alone beat him.

Leicester 5.45 Avenue Of Stars (2/1)
No doubting his ability but can be temperamental at the start so if he gets away he should be hard to beat; refused to race at Chelmsford and took a bit of rousting early last time but finished strongly and well on top in the end; the one to beat.
I’m chancing AVENUE OF STARS here at 2/1. I know he is a tricky sort and can play up at the start but if he gets away on terms then surely he wins this under a penalty? His price will be much shorter in-running if he does break well. This is a weak race so it’s a good opportunity to land back-to-back wins. The fact Northern Queen is the closest in the betting says a lot about the quality of the race for me. She is consistent but lacks any sort of gear change. Krazy Paving is probably the main danger to the selection.
