Race 3 Fort Erie 7.06 Chairman’s Venom (1/1)
Caught the eye running a big race in defeat when fourth over track and trip and improved to win her maiden impressively by over five lengths last time; up in grade now but more to come so foolish to rule out another big effort.
There was a lot to like about how CHAIRMAN’S VENOM powered away to win her maiden last time and she looks a filly on the up. With the promise of more to come she gets a confident vote to follow up under Helen Vanek. It’s hard to tell where the pace is going to come from so I won’t be surprised to see the selection push forward as she showed good early dash when winning last time. She may be at her best when dominating. Kinzua has been running well in defeat and may put up the most resistance.

Race 7 Gulfstream 8.09 Sea Lover (11/8)
Unbeaten gelding who made it 3-3 with a convincing win over track and trip last time, dictating throughout; trained by Michael Maker now and looks on an upward curve so plenty more to come; tough to oppose again.
Sticking with the progressive SEA LOVER under Edgard Zayas. He looks a horse firmly on the up and with positive tactics likely to be adopted again he looks the one to be on. This is his toughest test to date but he still looks the most likely winner to me. Legendary Prince has won two of his first three and is unbeaten on turf so looks the danger. He had Remaster back in third last time so looks to have that rival held. It’s a good race but I can’t look past the fav so hopefully he can make it 4-4.
