Ran a huge race when sent off at 100/1 over C&D on return finishing sixth; improved on that to finish third in a good race over 6f last time, winner looks useful; can step forward again and this trip ideal so obvious chance.
Expecting STOP FOR NOTHING to get himself back in the winners enclosure this afternoon. He has run two good races since returning and this looks his best opportunity since the restart to get his head back in front. The fact he has been sent off 100/1 and 25/1 and is now a 7/4 favourite says a lot. Waqaas ran well behind Louvain back from a 77 day absence and is respected as one of the main dangers. Shortstop can’t be completely ruled out either but the fav should have them covered.

Vaal 2.00 Lord Melbourne (5/2)
Looked a work in progress in two starts in March so no surprise to see him improve enough to get his head in front at Turffontein last time, finding plenty up against the rail and staying on best; more to come and one to keep on side.
I liked the way LORD MELBOURNE kept grinding to make the breakthrough last time and with further gains likely he is a strong fancy to come out on top again. He looked to have plenty in hand last time and was only just winding up at the line so the scope is definitely there for further improvement. This step up in trip looks a good move and 5/2 seems way too big to me. I’d have him more a 7/4 chance in this field. African Adventure is consistent and ran well last time so should emerge as the main danger.
