Race 4 Flemington 4.35 Persan (1/1)
Smart colt who has won three of his last four including his last two over 2000m here; getting better all the time and this easier if anything; first run over this trip but shapes as though the extra yardage is within reach.
We head to Flemington on Saturday morning for our best bet Down Under and PERSAN looks a good bet to come out on top in Race 4 on the card. He is improving all the time and ran out an impressive winner the last day. He is up in trip but the opposition is easier if anything and with only average pace on he should get settled early before coming with a strong run at the business end. It would take a brave man to oppose given the form he’s in right now! Sign Seal Deliver looks the danger. Ran well at Sandown last time.

Race 4 Randwick 4.20 Mr Dependable (6/4)
Likeable grey who has won three of his nine starts to date; shaped well on return when fourth at Rosehill racing wide without cover; improved to finish second here last time bumping into a good horse; more to come and the one to beat.
Can’t see past the favourite MR DEPENDABLE in Race 4 at Randwick. He should be hitting peak fitness after two good runs and this looks as though it’ll pan out favourably for him. He is open to further improvement and is hard to get away from here under Tim Clark. Matowi has more experience to draw upon and as a result looks the main danger but I’ll be surprised if the selection doesn’t improve past him. Milk Man can go close if everything drops right so isn’t completely ignored either.
