Fairview 12.50 Mount Everest (5/4)
Useful type who is yet to win but has run two big races in defeat the last twice, finishing third over a mile in a fiercely competitive race before backing that up back down over 6f last time; this looks a great opportunity to make the breakthrough.
This Maiden Plate looks all about MOUNT EVEREST for me. He has run to a very good level the last twice and if he reproduces that here I think it will see him finally off the mark. He was only beaten two lengths at the line last time so it was an encouraging run. Royal Splurge is the only conceivable danger for me. She has been consistent but does lack a gear change. Given how weak this looks she is a big player and should give the selection most to think about close home.

Fairview 2.35 Ontenderhooks (6/4)
Smart mare who has held her form really well since winning here in November; finally drops in class and is proven on the surface so has plenty going for her as she looks to get back to winning ways; most likely winner.
Down in class you’d have to think ONTENDERHOOKS is going to go close here. She is proven at this level and on the surface so ticks plenty of boxes. This looks the easiest opportunity she’s had to get back in the winners enclosure since getting the job done here back in November. Epic Storm has won four times and looks the danger. Needs to bounce back as was slammed 8 lengths last time but can definitely get involved if doing so. Hard to recommend much else. Fools Garden may hit the frame at a decent price.
