Master Of My Fate filly who made a very impressive start winning on debut by over 7 lengths at Vaal in March; lost little in defeat in a red-hot Grade 2 over shorter here last month; sharper now and back up to 7f should make it two wins from three.
We kick off a competitive card from Turffontein this afternoon with our best bet of the day in the very first race. MISS ELEGANCE looked exciting on debut and while she was well held last time that was in a very good race and back in calmer waters she can prove too strong. She will appreciate the step back up in trip and while she has a wide draw to contend with I think she is that much better than these she will have enough to overcome that and come out on top. Badrah is probably the danger if she improves from her debut.

Turffontein 2.15 Riverstown (1/1)
Consistent colt by Byword; won twice over 7f on good ground and ticks plenty of boxes coming into this; beaten just a short head by Captain And Master when second at Vaal over this trip last month; obvious chance if building on that run.
The last two efforts from RIVERSTOWN suggest he is ready to strike again. He ran well back from a 94 day absence to finish third to Lady Of Steel and backed that up when going down just a short head to Captain And Master over this trip again last time. He should be hitting peak fitness now and has the form in the book to take this out. Kayla’s Champ is getting plenty of weight so that makes her a player. I’d prefer to stick with class to come to the fore though. Putontheredlight looks the main danger if fit and ready to go.
