Smart type who is unbeaten on this surface; shaped well back from a 170-day absence when only sixth at Scottsville last time and looks a big player if stepping forward from that in a race that should be run to suit; obvious chance.
This looks a good opportunity for SILENT CRUSADE to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She is 2-2 on Polytrack and is expected to tighten up physically for her reappearance run at Scottsville last time. She is back in trip so won’t want to get too far back but if it goes to plan then her class should see her through. She is a short price in the market but that’s with good reason. Linear has been highly tried lately and will find this much easier so is respected as the main danger.

Greyville 1.45 Chitengo (13/8)
Elusive Fort filly who rounded off last campaign landing back-to-back wins at Turffontein; good effort on return when fifth to Jet Start and will step forward markedly from that now; she is one of the best staying fillies around and should win this.
Expecting CHITENGO to take this out! She is a strong staying type who should continue to flourish over this sort of trip. This is competitive but she looks to have leading credentials. Pomander is plenty talented and won’t go down without a fight. Should emerge as the main danger to the selection. Others to note include Ballet Shoes who finished third to Summer Pudding when last seen. That was a huge run so she shouldn’t be discounted easily. Bumping into a smart filly in the fav though! Kelpie also has form to be involved.
