Race 7 Townsville 7.52 Silent Explorer (10/11)
Useful type who has five career wins two of which over this trip; won impressively on penultimate start before going down narrowly last time; well placed to go in again and it would take a brave man to oppose; the one to beat.
We head to Townsville for our best bet of the night Down Under on Thursday and SILENT EXPLORER should take the beating in Race 7 on the card. He is a talented horse who overcame trouble in running to dot up at Cairns two starts back. He was only narrowly denied last time. This looks easier so it will be a shock if he doesn’t add a sixth career victory. Holy Command is probably the danger but he hasn’t been seen since May so may end up needing the run. Hot Shot Harry also respected as he is running consistently well.

Race 5 Pinjarra 8.10 Puli (11/10)
Improving judging by his impressive C&D win on return from four months off the track earlier this month; fitter now and should have plenty more to come so gets a confident vote to follow up; good draw to push forward and dominate again.
Sticking with the progressive PULI here. He improved to take out his maiden by over four lengths and while this is tougher he should have plenty more to come so gets the vote to follow up. He has a low draw and will likely push forward again so could prove hard to catch. He definitely has gears so should find plenty if challenged late. The biggest danger looks to be Eurotrip who is back from a five month break. Pike is on top so greatly respected. Choice Command is also entitled to be thereabouts.
