Bath 4.40 Overwrite (11/10)
Smart colt who won well over a mile at Windsor before failing to handle the track at Newmarket up in trip; good second at Goodwood last time and with further progress to come especially over this trip should prove hard to beat.
We head to Bath on Thursday as we look to get our best bet firing and OVERWRITE is expected to get back to winning ways for Mark Johnston and Harry Bentley. He lost little in defeat when second at Goodwood on Saturday and he looks well-in turned out quickly (due to go up 4lb in the future). He remains unexposed over this trip so with further gains likely he can take care of these. Just The Man is talented but far from straightforward. Could chase the selection home.

Ripon 3.50 St Gallen (2/1)
Ran a big race when second in this sphere at Kempton in June before winning over hurdles at Southwell last month; looks well handicapped off a mark of 76 and if settling better could easily take this out under William Buick.
This is competitive but the one that jumps off the pace is ST GALLEN for Olly Murphy. He ran a cracker when second at Kempton when last seen on the Flat and has since scored over hurdles. He looks well handicapped and William Buick is an eye-catching booking. If he settles better I think he’ll be tough to stop. Competition is the closest in the betting but I have my doubts over his claims. I think Cote D’Azur is the main danger but he does find it hard to win. Hopefully the selection proves the stronger.
