Race 5 Belterra Park 7.31 Nevans (4/5)
Looked really good winning on turf last year and while he has failed to pick up that form this term he has been contesting much tougher races than this and on dirt; open to further improvement and obvious chance of bouncing back.
The one that stands out at Belterra Park tonight is NEVANS here for Silvano Gonzalez. He hasn’t been great on dirt recently but he has been competing in tougher races than this and remains open to improvement on turf so could easily bounce back tonight. On his best form he is a cut above these so it’s no surprise to see him short in the market. Rollin My Own is lightly raced and is yet to try turf so could run well but has his work cut out to even challenge the favourite. This looks really winnable for the grade.

Race 7 Lone Star 10.45 Cowboy Ridge (10/11)
Looked to have excuses when third over track and trip last time; excellent second prior to that and looks to have the strongest form on offer so no surprise if he proved too good for these; will look to get settled early before finishing best.
We head to Lone Star tonight for our second best bet of the night Stateside and COWBOY RIDGE is expected to finally shed the maiden-tag in Race 7 on the card. It’s a slight worry something may improve but it is a mediocre event and I think he holds all the aces. That penultimate effort when he was beaten just a length into second would be enough to take out a contest like this. Moonshinerboy is probably the main danger as he should still have more to come especially on turf. Race positioning will be crucial.
