THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT BALLARAT IN THE EARLY HOURS OF MONDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Ballarat 6.00 Nine Clouds (10/11)
Likeable chestnut who is on a real roll right now completing a hat-trick over track and trip last time, winning well at the line; has to carry another 2kg but will push forward and look to dominate and hard to get away from in current form.
This looks another good opportunity for NINE CLOUDS to win again. He is chasing four in a row and it would take a brave man to oppose! He has speed to boot so will push forward and look to show them a clear pair of heels again. He clearly loves this C&D so has plenty in favour. Cincinnati Red hasn’t been in good enough form to threaten so is readily passed over. Steel Choice probably the main danger. He is lightly raced and won well last time. Going the right way so feared most.

Race 5 Cessnock 6.40 Pizzly (10/11)
Promising mare who is returning from a 14-week break; only beaten narrowly back from a break last time so clearly goes well fresh; previous form easily good enough to take this contest out so expected to be a warm order.
The one I want to be on here is PIZZLY for Kris Lees and Louise Day. She is a mare going the right way and will find this easier than recent assignments. She goes well fresh so should be fit and ready to do herself justice. She should go forward and try and dictate. Shootforthestar finished second in a recent trial and has more to offer so should go well. Two Gems is another who is open to improvement but this looks tough so she will need to find plenty to get involved. Really hard to look past the class-edge of the favourite.
