Lingfield 6.30 Patient Dream (5/6)

Al Kazeem colt who made a highly encouraging start when fourth in a strong novice race at York on debut last month; form worked out notably well with the winner Gear Up winning the Acomb; sure to be more streetwise now so big chance of making the breakthrough.

Hard to get away from PATIENT DREAM here for Ralph Beckett. He showed plenty of ability on debut and struck me as a colt who will know a lot more next time. He can put that experience to good use and looks to have these covered with usual progression from one run to the next. Sixties Icon colt Greystoke ran okay on debut, nearest finish, and looks the main danger. Prey For Eagle is probably the most intriguing newcomer so may be worth watching to see how he gets on with an eye to the future.

Headgear does have a great effect on some horses and MILLIE THE MINX has thrived since being fitted with blinkers at the start of the month. She has won her last two easily and has a great chance to go in again at this level. Her win over this trip last time out has been franked by the third placed horse winning and judging by how easily she won won that race she will be hard to beat with her 6lb penalty.

Peerless Percy could have plenty to come up in trip but has to step up again, the main danger though is Lizzie Loch who is so consistent in these races and usually places.
