Goodwood 1.50 Ice Sprite (6/5)
Likeable filly who overcame unfavourable circumstances to follow up her Newmarket win at Windsor 13 days ago, justifying favouritism in the process; can improve again so obvious chance of landing the hat-trick under Tom Marquand.
This is competitive but the one to beat is clearly ICE SPRITE for William Haggas. This filly by Zoffany is still learning her trade but she left that reappearance run behind to open her account at Newmarket and proved that was no fluke winning at Windsor last time. She was held up and didn’t get the best run through so showed a real likeable attitude to come out on top. She was nicely in command at the line and should have more to offer with that experience under her belt. A 6lb rise looks manageable and I’ll be disappointed if she can’t take this out. Margaret Dumont is the one I fear most as she could kick on too.

Perth 2.05 Scardura (6/4)
Smart type who has the size and scope to do well in this sphere; encouraging second on debut over fences at Stratford last time, chasing home the useful Longhouse Sale; open to improvement and this looks a good opportunity.
With the NAP a non runner our original NB is now our best bet so we have replaced the NB and it now runs at Perth. SCARDURA shaped with plenty of encouragement on chase debut and with usual progression from an initial effort in this sphere he should be hard to beat. Guardia Top is the obvious danger as she did well over hurdles and shaped better than the bare result at Market Rasen. Both look to be going the right way and should fight this one out with ready preference for the favourite. Global Tour made a winning start in this sphere last time and is also considered up 6lb from that.
