NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY SO WE ARE NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK OF WINNERS!
Haydock 2.50 Al Rufaa (7/4)
Kingman colt who hasn’t looked back since the hood was applied winning at Kempton before landing a brace of handicaps at Newmarket the last twice; this tougher again but open to further improvement so hard to get away from.
This is by no means a given but I’m confident AL RUFAA will complete the four-timer. He ran out an impressive winner at Kempton in July and followed up back on turf at Newmarket before defying a 12lb rise to win by 2 lengths last month. He needs more again if he is to keep this winning run going but I think he’s one to keep on side now he’s channelling his energy in the right direction. Ostilio looks the main danger but he may end up getting into a fight for the lead with Yafta and he did finish last at Thirsk so he has a bit too much to prove at present.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT SALISBURY ON THURSDAY!
Salisbury 3.40 Chil Chil (5/2)
Exceed and Excel filly who has been progressive since wind surgery winning four from her six starts; quickened up smartly at Ascot last time and is clearly thriving right now; 9lb rise doesn’t make it easy but could go onto better things so hard to oppose.
I was quite surprised to see CHIL CHIL open at 5/2. She has won four of her last six and looks a sprinter going places. She can handle a 9lb rise and looks the one they all have to beat here. I was taken with how she picked up once seeing daylight at Ascot and a repeat of that performance would see her in the winners enclosure again. Bimble built on her debut promise to win impressively at Goodwood and the form has been franked so she can chase the selection home. I see the pair a fair bit better than this field so might be worth backing the forecast. Spring Of Love needs to bounce back, may finish third.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Haydock and Salisbury on Thursday afternoon.
