THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT SO WE’RE NOW CHASING A HAT-TRICK OF WINS!

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Three Illusions (1/1)

Talented mare who has won her last five starts; won by over 15 lengths on penultimate start which is rare in any grade; well on top last time again and hard to fault; this doesn’t look any tougher so should be able to dominate.

The NAP is back firing Stateside as we landed back-to-back winners last night. THREE ILLUSIONS is the one we’re siding with as we look to land a hat-trick and she is eyeing up six straight wins in a row. She likes to push forward and is at her best when dictating. This looks another good bit of placement and it’s hard not to see her picking up the prize again. Both J P’s Gladys and Miss Juilana could make a race of it. The latter wasn’t beaten far into third last time and is relatively lightly raced for her age so could have more to offer. Hard to see her toppling the favourite but could run into a place. J P’s Gladys is back down in grade and her previous form reads well so she should be in the mix too.

Race 4 Belterra Park 7.02 Swing West (11/10)

Big performance to win by over 7 lengths here on penultimate start; tougher ask last time but acquitted himself well finishing second to a smart type; more to come after just a handful of starts and could easily get back on the up now.

We head to Belterra Park for our second best bet Stateside on Tuesday night and SWING WEST is taken to make it two wins from his last three. He didn’t do much wrong last time and back at this level he should take a bit of holding. He likes to lead and go through the gears. That’s what saw him so impressive two starts back. Cheap Shot has been admirably consistent lately and does deserve to get his head back in front but I’ll be surprised if he’s good enough to overhaul the favourite who looks to have plenty going for him. Mr Zydeco is also entitled to be thereabouts and did finish ahead of Cheap Shot last time so may be the best bet for the forecast.
