NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT WOLVERHAMPTON ON WEDNESDAY!
Wolverhampton 7.45 Capla Huntress (6/4)
Progressive filly by Sir Percy; caught the eye on reappearance before running on well to score at Yarmouth on next start in July; backed that up at the same venue next time; can improve again so should shrug off a 4lb rise and complete the hat-trick.
The NAP was back to winning ways on Tuesday as Cormier made light work out his rivals at Catterick. He was punted off the boards and did it easily. We head to Wolverhampton on Wednesday in search of another winner and CAPLA HUNTRESS looks set to complete the hat-trick. She has won her last two at Yarmouth but is a past C&D winner and stands out in this race. A 4lb rise is perfectly fair and she should go close. Nibras Wish and Haida Gwaii are likely to set the pace and I just think the selection will track them through in behind before proving too strong in the closing stages. The latter hasn’t been running badly and should pick up a race soon so is feared most.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT CORK IN IRELAND ON WEDNESDAY EVENING!
Cork 6.00 Magnanimous (15/8)
Mehmas colt who has probably improved with every run; needed the experience when fifth on debut at Fairyhouse but stepped forward when beaten narrowly at Limerick and again went close in a better race at the Curragh; more to come.
This looks a good opportunity for MAGNANIMOUS to open his account for Joseph O’Brien. He ran a big race last time and with further improvement to come he should get off the mark. This won’t be easy as while there are only six runners it does look competitive but I just think he comes here with plenty going for him and should get the better of Amber Kite. She is feared most as she was just unsuited by the drop in trip last time and had looked good at Gowran so could bounce back on handicap debut. Vocito has also showed good form and acquitted himself well when second over C&D in testing ground last time. Hopefully the favourite has too much where it matters.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Cork and Wolverhampton on Wednesday.
