NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT BEVERLEY ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Beverley 4.05 Cottam Lane (4/5)
Twilight son colt who shaped with plenty of promise on debut when second at Hamilton earlier this month; should know more now and this looks a good opportunity to go one better; open to any amount of improvement.
We head to Beverley on Wednesday as we look for back-to-back NAP winners and COTTAM LANE looks a standout in the novice stakes following a really encouraging effort on debut at Hamilton last time. He showed plenty of early dash and was just run out of it by a smart looking type in Bickerstaffe. He can step forward and open his account here. Jacattack also shaped well on debut and is open to improvement so has to be respected as the main danger. Mashaan is probably the most interesting newcomer as he is well related but I’ll be surprised if he’s forward enough to get the better of those with experience. Liberty Blaze was only sixth on debut over C&D and probably needs more time.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT YARMOUTH ON WEDNESDAY!
Yarmouth 5.20 Many A Star (11/8)
Good looking chestnut who showed a good attitude to win by a neck at Doncaster in July; two big runs in defeat since third behind Breath Of Joy at Pontefract and second to Alben Spirit at York latest; looks well handicapped.
The one to beat here is MANY A STAR for James Given. This gelding by Starspangledbanner looks ahead of his mark of 80 and should get back to winning ways under Andrea Atzeni. That last run where he was chinned a neck by Alben Spirit was very good and a reproduction of that would see him come out on top. Juan Les Pins put in a career best to win at Kempton 12 days ago and has to be respected. His chance may come down to how hard Benefit Street goes up front. If it is a pedestrian gallop that would definitely count against him. Pink Sands is lightly raced but has a bit to prove after that latest effort. Hard to oppose the favourite who should get back in the winners enclosure.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Beverley and Yarmouth on Wednesday and are not to be missed!

Here’s our Notebook Double. These are two horses we’ve been keeping an eye on that have a good chance of winning. The Tracker Double usually pays better than the Daily Double and must be included.
