THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT KENTUCKY DOWNS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Kentucky Downs 8.55 Jakarta (1/1)
Useful mare who went close to getting her head back in front when beaten half a length into second at Saratoga last month; remains open to further improvement on turf and looks the one to beat on all known form.
We head to Kentucky Downs on Wednesday night for our best bet Stateside and JAKARTA looks poised to get herself back in the winners enclosure following a big run at Saratoga last time. She has only raced twice on turf winning at Gulfstream and then finishing a close-up second last time. She remains open to improvement and this looks easier so it will be bitterly disappointing if she doesn’t come away with the prize here. She likes to dictate so will push forward and look to gallop these into submission. Dance Rhythms won well on her penultimate start but then didn’t really impress in this grade last time so while she is the main danger to the selection she has a bit to prove for me.

Race 7 Louisiana Downs 11.49 Ameerah B (6/4)
Promising filly who bolted up by nearly 5 lengths on just her second start on dirt at Evangeline Downs over this trip last month; lightly raced so could be lots more to come and looks to have found a good opportunity to follow up.
Really hard to look past AMEERAH B here following that dominant win last time. She had scored on turf and finished a good second prior to that so it wasn’t coming out of turn but she could clearly be pretty useful on dirt. If she reproduces that she should follow up and she remains open to improvement so I’m not sure why anyone would look elsewhere. Lookin Sharp showed a good attitude to win last time and has to be respected off the back of that. Silver Squall won well over track and trip on her penultimate start and would be the main danger off the back of that. Struggled in better company last time though so has a bit to prove but is considered if back to her best.
