Kempton 6.00 Perfect Inch (5/4)
Dark Angel filly who ran a cracker when denied just a neck at Ascot earlier this month; sets a clear standard and expected to be rewarded for her consistency now and belatedly open her account; obvious chance.
The one to beat is PERFECT INCH here for Charlie Fellowes. She hasn’t done much wrong and put in a career best at Ascot last time, narrowly held at the line. The drop back into a novice event looks the right move and she is very hard to oppose here with Ryan Moore in the saddle. Aroha also has a fair bit of experience to draw upon and is probably the main danger. She was beaten a couple of lengths by Oti Ma Boati at Goodwood so needs more off the back of that but has solid form claims nonetheless. Aim For The Stars went into my notes off the back of that promising debut fifth but she will find it hard to challenge the front two in the market, especially the favourite so is one to watch going forward.

Perth 4.15 La Bague Au Roi (2/1)
Dual Grade 1 winner as a novice beating the likes of Lostintranslation and Topofthegame; failed to win last season but still ran some big races in defeat and goes notably well fresh so down in class here she should run a big race.
Hopefully LA BAGUE AU ROI can get back on track for Warren Greatrex. She looked a novice chaser going places when beating Lostintranslation at Newbury and went on to win four in a row taking the scalp of Topofthegame in the process. Things didn’t go to plan last season but she still looks to possess all her ability and given she goes well fresh this looks a good stepping stone for her to get back on track before going onto better things. Jarveys Plate showed he had a big engine when beating Reserve Tank at Chepstow first-up last season and while he didn’t build on that he has to be respected and looks the one to pose the biggest threat to the selection.
