Race 5 Thistledown 7.50 Kennedie Sky (11/8)
Hard to fault this mare with a win and two seconds to her name from her last three runs; showed a good attitude to get up on her penultimate outing and didn’t have the best run through when second last time; bang in form.
Sticking with KENNEDIE SKY here for Gary Johnson. This mare has won six times between 6f and a mile and looks in great form right now. Her win two starts back was pretty impressive for the grade and she is going to take a bit of stopping again here I feel. Little Matilda is probably the threat as she is down in grade but she will need to show a lot more than what she has done the last twice. I know she’s better than that though so she is feared most. Daring was behind the selection last time but not beaten far so also comes into the reckoning off the back of that. Flashy Patch needs to find more if she is to figure at the business end. Been disappointing lately.

Race 3 Delaware Park 7.00 Bootlegger (6/4)
Dug in gamely for the fight when beaten just a neck last time; step back in trip will help and this easier too so obvious chance of getting back to winning ways; likes to push forward and dominate.
Everything looks in place for BOOTLEGGER to run a big race! He hasn’t won for a while but his form in defeat is right up there and back in both trip and grade he will have few excuses tonight. If he repeats that latest run it should be good enough to see this bunch off. He will push forward early and look to get into a nice rhythm off the front before holding on. Little Mazzy is on a roll at present winning his last three so has to be respected against the favourite. The race looks between the pair for me. Wine At The Beach was thrashed last time but will be happier back on turf so also comes into calculations if getting back to form.
