NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT NOTTINGHAM ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
Nottingham 3.15 Herman Hesse (13/8)
Looked a horse on the up winning impressively at Catterick over this trip 9 days ago, well on top at the finish; up 7lb but remains unexposed and looks to be well placed in a bid to follow up; should be too good.
The NAP was back to winning ways yesterday as High Definition won at the Curragh. We’ll be looking to follow up today and we head to Nottingham where the improving HERMAN HESSE is taken to come out on top. This son of Frankel could have lots more to come over this trip and looks the one to side with. A 7lb rise doesn’t look too harsh and if he steps forward again he should take care of this bunch. Nietzsche has won here before and this represents a drop in class so he has to be feared. General Zoff is on a fairly long losing run so may find a couple too good again. Swooping Eagle is a big price and might be worth an each way saver but I can’t see how the favourite doesn’t go close.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT THE CURRAGH ON SUNDAY!
Curragh 2.00 No Speak Alexander (7/4)
Useful filly who needed the experience on debut but stepped forward markedly to win easily at Roscommon in July; not beaten far in France on next start and then chased home Monday at Leopardstown; obvious chance.
With Monday now a non runner this looks a winnable Group 3 and NO SPEAK ALEXANDER should make no mistake. This daughter of Shalaa has progressive form and I think she ticks plenty of boxes coming into this. She just bumped into one last time but sets a good standard on that and with the promise of more to come she should get back to winning ways. Ger Lyons saddles Angel Palm who beat an Aidan O’Brien-trained individual at Leopardstown last time and looks most likely to emerge as the danger to the selection. Aunty Bridy scored over this C&D on debut and wasn’t disgraced behind Shale in the Moyglare over track and trip last time. Also worthy of some consideration.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at the Curragh and Nottingham on Sunday afternoon.
