Race 7 Woodbine 9.29 Sunsprite (13/8)
Showed good early speed to track the pace through up the rail before going through the gears and asserting in good style up the straight; found plenty for pressure and sure to improve from that initial effort; up in trip and likeable claims.
Taking SUNSPRITE to remain unbeaten for Kevin Attard. This filly is a half-sister to Kid Forester and looks to have bags of potential. She got racing soon enough on debut so it was pretty impressive how much she found when under pressure in the straight. She pulled clear before gearing down in the closing stages. The extra yardage will help and I think she’ll take care of this bunch before going onto better things in time. There’s a fair bit of speed on so she’ll need to be sharp away again but I think she’ll bag the rail and see them all off. Hatmaker Holiday left her debut run well behind to open her account here last time and will probably emerge as the main danger to the selection.

Race 9 Remington 12.44 Miss Twenty (9/4)
Smashed the opposition at Prairie Meadows last time over 12 lengths clear at the line to make it two wins from her first three starts; progressing fast and while this looks tougher you’d be foolish to rule out another chunk of improvement.
Kandy Ginger is 2-2 and will likely prove popular here but I think there may be value in taking her on with the rapidly improving MISS TWENTY. She likes to push forward and with Cabrera in the saddle could get things her own way and having first run on the favourite could prove decisive up the straight. She looked one to keep firmly on side the way she won last time and another big run looks a near certainty in my book. This looks a good race so there are one or two others that can’t be completely ruled out. Novel Squall made a winning start and while that was encouraging she’ll need to step up plenty from that to remain unbeaten. Should run well without being good enough.
