THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT ASCOT ON SATURDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Ascot 8.10 Inspirational Girl (10/11)
Smart mare who has won six times from eight starts; beaten less than a length last time but down in weight and back at this track both positives so she is expected to have too much for these; clearly the one to beat.
Some really good racing overnight Down Under and INSPIRATIONAL GIRL is expected to get back to winning ways for Chris Parnham. She is a very talented individual and while she was expected to win last time she wasn’t disgraced in defeat and this looks easier so she will likely go off a short priced favourite to make amends. True Attraction is going the right way now having returned to winning ways at Belmont when last seen. Hasn’t raced since July though so may need the run. Even still has to be respected on all known form. Patristic has won two of his last three and is also entitled to plenty of respect but is vulnerable to an improving type like the favourite.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT CAULFIELD ON SATURDAY!
Race 3 Caulfield 3.25 Windstorm (11/10)
Promising gelding who has won six of his nine career starts; back to winning ways over C&D last month and impressed with how he mowed them down late on; more to come yet and should relish the strong pace here; hard to oppose.
This looks all about WINDSTORM here. They are likely to go a good clip and that will play into his hands as he looks to pounce late under Pike. He is already a smart type and he can kick on again now. Cuba is useful but exposed in comparison so looks to have his work cutout in trying to contain the selection. Phaistos on the other hands has only had 17 starts so may end up putting up the most resistance. Does need to do better than what he showed at Randwick last time though. Of the rest Runson has been performing to a consistent level and has two wins and three places at this track from 14 attempts so is worthy of consideration. Hard to see anything else proving good enough.
