THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY SO WE’RE NOW CHASING A FOUR-TIMER!
Dundalk 4.40 Crystal Dawn (15/8)
Smart filly by Rip Van Winkle who looked better than ever ridden quietly before powering home over C&D last week; well on top at the line so could be a fair bit more improvement in her yet; should be hard to beat.
With Pipesmoker now a non runner at Cheltenham we head to Ireland on Friday night for our best bet and CRYSTAL DAWN is the one that stands out. I was quite shocked to see her at 4/1 last night when the market formed. I tipped her but obviously now I’ve made her my NAP I’ve had to take the 15/8 and advertise it as that for the record. She is improving fast and was our Value Tip last week. Colin Keane rode her with supreme confidence out the back before sweeping wide and finishing best. She is clearly very talented and should still have further progress in her judged off that latest effort. It should be a good race with Lilandra but she can often find one too good so may struggle to hold off the selection. Highly Approved has struck over this C&D before but needs to bounce back.

Newcastle 7.00 Ivynator (15/8)
Smart Muhaarar colt who ran a big race at a decent price on debut at Beverley last month; improved when going down just half a length at Lingfield earlier this month; should know more now and this looks a good opportunity.
The NAP is on a four-timer and the NB is on a hat-trick so confidence is riding high heading into Friday. IVYNATOR catches the eye at Newcastle for Charlie Fellowes and Stevie Donohoe. He’s done little wrong in two starts to date and looks primed to go one better with further improvement in the locker. He was only headed in the final 100 yards at Lingfield and the winner Dejame Paso for Andrew Balding looks like he could be a colt with a bright future. Smart Qibili is likely to set the pace so the selection can get a nice toe into it before picking them up. Past the front two Lenny’s Spirit is also a useful looking horse but he does have a penalty to carry and that hands the advantage to the selection. Norman Kindu should be more at home over further in time so is also best watched.
