Race 8 Indiana Grand 9.35 Burning Ambition (11/10)
Really promising start going down just three quarters of a length on debut over this trip; probably went for home too soon as picked off late; should know a lot more now and looks well placed to go one better.
We head to Indiana Grand on Monday night for our best bet Stateside and BURNING AMBITION is fancied to make the breakthrough at just the second attempt. She is a nice filly in the making and she made a promising start when going down narrowly over this trip. She made up good ground from off the speed and in hindsight probably went for home too soon as was caught late by Javanica. With that experience under her belt she can go one better in this. It looks a very winnable maiden on paper so it will be disappointing if she doesn’t take full advantage. Scribble It impressed me when second last time and may be value to run into a place behind the selection.

Race 3 Finger Lakes 6.04 Lune Lake (6/4)
Smart mare who was back to her best here last time readily reversing that form with Treatherlikestar; clean break the key to her and if she gets away again she will win this; plenty of gears and always in her comfort zone last time.
If everything goes to plan then LUNE LAKE should win again. She has won four of her last five now and if she breaks cleanly then she will look to dictate and should have enough gears to boss them into submission. Things didn’t go as well on her penultimate start and she was vulnerable late but that last performance was impressive and I’m keen to keep her on side for now. Treatherlikestar ran on for second last time and a similar scenario may well pan out here. She just doesn’t have the early speed to upset the favourite so I can’t see any other outcome as long as the selection gets away. Of the rest Beyondelle is probably better than that latest run where she was fifth. May get a bit closer this time.
