Improver who ran well when second here over the extended mile last month; strong travelling sort so step back in trip could prove ideal and looks to have been found a great opportunity to get off the mark.
With the promise of more to come especially back in trip FLYING SAMURAI is a confident selection to come out on top at Indiana Downs tonight. He was only beaten narrowly into third over a mile here in August and built on that up slightly in trip when second last time. He did travel well before challenging wide so should benefit from coming back in trip here. This looks easier and it will be disappointing if he can’t take full advantage. Starcasm had Jennstone a place behind when second to Forever A Champ over the extended 5f here earlier this month and may emerge as the main danger. Struggling to give much else a chance in here so that shows you how winnable it is.

Race 3 Mountaineer Park 11.44 Truly Red (7/4)
A lot to like about the way this filly got back to winning ways at Delaware earlier this month; this looks easier if anything so obvious chance of following up for her new trainer; hopefully they go a good pace as she’ll be finishing best.
The NB is also flying so we head to Mountaineer tonight in search of 3 winners in a row. TRULY RED is eyeing up a quick-fire double and looks to have obvious credentials of taking this out. She won a good race for the grade at Delaware last time and it’s quite simple, if she repeats that sort of form here in this easier contest she will win. I was quite surprised to see 7/4 as I can see her going off shorter than that. Gemagility had Letsgetitperfect a place behind when second to Light Hearted last time and is a danger off the back of that I’ll be surprised if she has enough to overhaul the favourite though. Of the rest Marching In won well three starts back but has been highly tried since.
