Aintree 12.25 Wilde About Oscar (11/10)
Made a really bright start when second to Ask A Honey Bee on debut in a bumper at Southwell; off the mark next time by 9 lengths at Warwick; fourth in a strong contest at Newbury; winning start over hurdles at Uttoxeter; more to come.
We head to Aintree in the very first race of the day for our best bet and WILDE ABOUT OSCAR should prove hard to beat for Dan Skelton. He impressed on hurdling debut when winning at Uttoxeter and while this is obviously a better race he is open to improvement and should be hard to beat. Dubai Guest is the closest in the betting and he recorded useful form winning a bumper at Musselburgh 8 months ago. Should make into a promising hurdler so has to be respected but the favourite has experience on side and should be hard to beat. Of the rest Docpickedme cost £75,000 after winning an Irish point but like the latter may need the experience. Worth keeping an eye on nevertheless.

Wincanton 12.40 Oleg (2/1)
Promising type who remains unexposed over fences; close-up when falling 3 out on return at Perth and while he comes here with a bit to prove he should have lots more to come so no surprise to see him firmly back on track here.
I’m happy to keep OLEG on side for Paul Nicholls. He took a tumble when last seen over fences but retains potential and this looks a good opportunity to get back on track. He remains unexposed and there should be more to come. Buster Thomas returned from a 20-month layoff to finish third at Market Rasen and should tighten up for the run. Usually finds one or two too good though and I think he has a bit to find with the favourite. Hey Bud shaped encouragingly on return on his third start over fences and is also one to not completely rule out. Fiercely competitive in behind those mentioned and I’ll be surprised if there’s an upset. If the favourite jumps round he has to go very close.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Aintree and Wincanton on Saturday afternoon.
