Winning pointer who looked a completely different proposition winning head in chest on first start over hurdles at Huntingdon last month; looks to have a bright future and well placed to make it 2-2 here.
Hard to look past PRINCE ESCALUS here. This 5yo created a very big impression winning on hurdles debut at Huntingdon last month. He quickened up smartly to win by over 6 lengths at the line and the second had won her last two heading into that and the ran a big race beaten just 2 lengths behind The White Mouse in a strong handicap at Wincanton yesterday. He is open to improvement and even at 5/6 looks a good price to go in again. I think if he jumps round he wins but Fantastikas may be the horse to chase him home. He has plenty of scope and could be one to follow going forward but just looks to be bumping into one this afternoon. Of the rest Master Templar could run into a place.

Ffos Las 1.42 Highway One O Two (6/5)
Smart type who was last seen completing a hat-trick in a competitive race at Kempton in February; back from 8 months off the track but firmly on the upgrade when last in action and looks an exciting prospect to go chasing with now.
This looks a good starting point for HIGHWAY ONE O TWO to get off to the perfect start over fences. He was thoroughly progressive over hurdles and could be even better over the larger obstacles. He beat a good field when last seen over timber at Kempton and looks an exciting recruit to this sphere. Totterdown should put good pace to the race and that can help the selection settle. He will appreciate having a target to aim at and I think he’ll be finishing best if taking to fences. Hitman is an intriguing French recruit from a top stable and has to be respected but I can’t look past the favourite here. Mack The Man definitely has a future but he is pitched into the deep end on his first start over fences.
