NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT SOUTHWELL ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
Southwell 1.46 Spring Romance (11/10)
Likeable type who took really well to this surface winning by a convincing length over 6f here last month; followed up head in chest at Kempton since and returns here over 7f chasing a hat-trick now; hard to oppose.
It’s been a tough week for the NAP so hopefully we can get it back on track this afternoon as we head to Southwell for our best bet. The hat-trick seeking SPRING ROMANCE looks the one to side with for Mick Appleby. He is turned out quickly under a 5lb penalty and is clearly thriving following a useful looking win here before going in again at Kempton over this trip last time. He is a strong travelling sort who looks a cut above this field. It has a nice each way feel to the race but for win purposes I think the favourite is really solid. Salam Ya Faisal is a danger on fibresand debut. At a bigger price Lara Silvia might be the value to hit the frame as she will appreciate coming back down in trip.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT CORK ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!
Cork 3.00 Pike County (13/8)
Useful sort who looked to be getting on top when coming down at the last at Navan last month; travelled notably well and if bouncing back looks the one they all have to beat; should have a good target to aim at.
I’m siding with PIKE COUNTY to gain some compensation here. He was coming with a sustained challenge before taking a tumble at the last at Navan and if his confidence isn’t dented too much he should be tough to beat here. He travelled notably well and a 2lb rise won’t be enough to stop him especially as Simon Torrens’ claim negates that. He has run well here before so should be suited by this sort of test. Charlie Siringo is the threat as he wasn’t disgraced when fourth at Punchestown and looks most likely to give another good account off the back of that. At an even bigger price The Little Yank might be a bit of value to run on into a place.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Southwell and Cork on Sunday afternoon.
