Best Australian Horse Racing bets in Australia on Wednesday morning
Even though we started with a 3/1 winner overnight there were too many 2nds for my liking. The NAP was scratched as Dalby was abandoned. Racing on Wednesday from Balaklava, Warwick Farm, Ipswich, Sandown, Ascot and Launceston.
Alongside our best bets we have race-by-race bets below the main bets if you want to know what we fancy on the rest of the cards (just scroll right down to the bottom).
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT LAUNCESTON ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!
Race 6 Launceston 9.45 Dark Wanderer (10/11)
Promising galloper who is unbeaten; not seen since July but this looks a good starting point this campaign; should find the front and might always be dictating; hard to oppose and one to keep on side.
The Aussie NAP was scratched overnight as Dalby was forced to abandon. We head to Launceston on Wednesday morning and DARK WANDERER is fancied to maintain his unbeaten record. He is 4-4 and has already struck over this trip. This is his toughest test to date but he is open to plenty of improvement yet and should have too much for these. He will push forward and should always be dominating this field. Amaword got caught wide last time but wasn’t actually beaten too far. Better than that and looks the main threat to the selection. Paion was back to winning ways at Hobart last month and has to be respected off the back of that. No doubt the fav has the most potential and should win.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT ASCOT ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 6 Ascot 9.00 Secret Pearl (11/8)
Talented mare who comes here chasing a hat-trick after showing a great attitude to prevail by a head here over 2200m last time; in great nick and should be hard to stop as she eyes up three in a row.
We head to Ascot for our second best bet Down Under on Wednesday and the in-form SECRET PEARL is strongly fancied to complete the hat-trick. She handled rain softened ground to win gamely last time and still has more to offer off the back of that run. Bella’s Idol faded out of it last time but did win well at Bunbury prior to that and will have a shot at this if bouncing back. He does have something to prove at present though and that hands the initiative to the favourite. Lollipop Lane should be running on strongly at the finish and she appeals as one of the each way plays. Might be worth a small saver given she won well here last time. 8/1 bar the rest and not a great deal of those appeal.
Autralian Daily Double
The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Ascot and Launceston early on Wednesday morning.
