Doncaster 2.05 Ofalltheginjoints (11/8)
Did well over hurdles and confirmed the promise of his chase debut to win convincingly at Exeter last month; beat a good prospect on that occasion and open to plenty of improvement so expected to be hard to beat here.
Following a promising run at Aintree when third to Acey Milan OFALLTHEGINJOINTS made no mistake at Exeter last month, travelling and jumping well before asserting in good style near the finish. He beat a useful looking horse in St Barts so with further improvement to come rates the one to beat in this contest. I’m surprised he isn’t odds-on as he has the potential to be better than these and I know connections are very bullish about his chances. We were with House Island when he won at Ludlow last time and while that was al likeable effort his main market rival in that race failed to fire so I have a few questions over the form. If he steps forward again he could emerge as the danger.

Newcastle 2.55 Dublin Pharaoh (11/8)
American Pharaoh colt who has won two of his last three and did it with a bit up his sleeve over C&D last time; capable of better yet so big chance of going in again and looks one to keep on side for now.
This is a race that lacks strength in depth but the front three in the betting all looks pretty useful so I expect them to be fighting this out. DUBLIN PHARAOH is the obvious one having won two of his last three. He impressed last time and almost certainly has more in the locker yet. Myseven is a filly by Golden Horn and she won well at Kempton last time so should put up the most resistance. Everything did go her way on that occasion though and I think the selection can get her out her comfort zone here so it makes life a lot tougher. Cardano chased home a rejuvenated Nicholas T last time but will need more off the back of that to trouble the front pair. Should run his race.
