Leopardstown 12.30 El Barra (11/8)
Snapped up for £280,000 after chasing home Fury Road in an Irish point-to-point; made a bright start under Rules brushing the opposition aside by a commanding margin at Thurles last month; sure to improve now jumping hurdles.
Looking forward to seeing expensive purchase EL BARRA over timber for the first time at Leopardstown on Boxing Day. This French recruit showed plenty of ability in an Irish point-to-point and made an exciting start under Rules winning a bumper by 5 and a half lengths at Thurles last month. He travelled notably well that day and quickly asserted staying on strongly. He is bred to jump so is sure to improve and is strongly fancied to get the better of Wide Receiver. The latter bumped into Ashdale Bob latest and that horse has since gone on to win a Grade 2 by an impressive 6 lengths. He looks solid but does lack a gear change and the selection looks to have that class factor and could be anything.

Wolverhampton 4.05 On The Warpath (11/8)
Smart horse who bounced back with an eye-catching run when third to the progressive Good Effort in a Listed race at Lingfield last month; should be spot on for this and could be a cut above these; leading credentials.
We head to Wolverhampton on the tapeta for our second best bet of the day on Boxing Day and ON THE WARPATH should be up to justifying favouritism for Charlie Appleby and Luke Morris. He has some strong form in the book and was back to somewhere near his best when beaten narrowly into third at Lingfield last month. He was nearest finish in a race that paid to be handy. He will be fitter now and looks to have a major chance of going a couple of places better. Lord Of The Lodge is top rated but hasn’t been seen since July and wasn’t in good enough form to be a big threat here. Dawn Approach colt Boosala may emerge as the danger. He is 2-2 but hasn’t been seen for 519 days.
Daily Double
