Improving type who fared best of those held up when a closing second over C&D last month; winner gone in again since; open to further progress and this looks a great opportunity to make the breakthrough.

The NAP was really disappointing on Boxing Day so hopefully we can bounce back quickly. It’s a bit of a wait but RAYYAN should have too much for them at Wolverhampton on Sunday evening. This 3yo is improving as he gains experience and that was a big effort from off the pace when second to A Go Go over C&D last time. This should be better run to suit and he is a strong fancy to finally open his account. Hard to pinpoint an exact danger but it wouldn’t surprise me if Jorvik Prince ran well as he has scored 3-times over C&D. He isn’t the most straightforward so he’ll need everything to drop right to be a threat. You’re Cool also goes particularly well over track and trip and is also feared.

Kempton 3.40 Cadzand (7/2)

Improved plenty from his debut run over hurdles behind Do Your Job to win impressively at Warwick last month; can take a big step forward again and no surprise to see him make it two wins from three in this sphere.

With Limerick and Chepstow both off we now head to Kempton for our second best bet and the likeable CADZAND can improve again to take this out. He is well bred and did it impressively last time at Warwick. If he steps forward another chunk he will have too much for these and his price just looks too big to me. Hang In There is back in trip and may figure more prominently but comes here with a bit to prove still. The Bees Knees was a creditable fourth to Lively Citizen in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham and that form also brings him into contention. At a bigger price it wouldn’t surprise me to see Christopher Wood hit the frame as he is better than what he showed at Newbury latest.
