NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT SANTA ANITA ON SUNDAY NIGHT!
Race 5 Santa Anita 9.37 Honos Man (6/5)
Useful type who was beaten just a length over a mile here in October and then knocked hard on the door again at Del Mar last time beaten just half a length; can still do better and this looks easier so big chance of going in.
We head to Santa Anita tonight for our best bet Stateside and HONOS MAN looks ready to strike. He has been running to a consistent level and was only narrowly denied in a better race than this last time. If he matches that sort of form then he should get back to winning ways tonight. Turn The Switch was a place behind the selection on his penultimate start and while he failed to fire last time it wouldn’t surprise me if he was the one to chase him home here. Armour Plate is becoming exposed and while he usually runs well he does often find one or two too good and that may well end up being the case again at Santa Anita tonight.

Race 5 Tampa Bay 7.45 Spin Class (11/8)
Promising filly who needed the experience on debut but has done nothing but improve since finishing runner-up on her last three starts; beaten just a neck over a mile here last month and huge chance if stepping forward again.
The improving SPIN CLASS looks set to get off the mark at Tampa tonight. This filly has looked fairly useful in a handful of starts to date and with the promise of more to come she can make the breakthrough. Stormy Wager is bred to be fairly smart but was thrashed last time and while her debut run on turf reads well he does have a lot to prove. I expect her to come good at some point and she could end up being the one to give the favourite a race. Bit of a guessing game with her though. Beach Chick ran a cracker on her penultimate start and that would bring her right into the mix. Will Take Roses is a big price and she might be value to run into a place but this does require more.
