Best bets Stateside on Friday night

Sky Sports Racing have live coverage of US Racing tonight and we have covered all SIX meetings again and picked out our best bets.

THE NAP WAS BACK TO WINNING WAYS LAST NIGHT! Hopefully we can fire in another best bet winner as we head to Tampa on New Year’s Day. Also racing from Gulfstream, Aqueduct, Laurel Park, Fair Grounds and Santa Anita.

THE US NAP (BEST BET) WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT TAMPA ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 4 Tampa Bay Downs 7.12 Candy Cove (11/8)

Smart type who was back to his very best eased in grade last time, winning by over 10 lengths; this tougher but hard to get away from in current form and with good pace on he should get carried into it before proving too strong.

The US NAP was back to winning ways last night and we head to Tampa for our best bet on New Year’s Day. CANDY COVE won as he liked over track and trip last month and if he turns up in the same form he should have too much for these even though it does look more competitive. Praetorian wasn’t so good on turf last time but his previous dirt form reads well and he can pose a threat. Sancocho is lightly raced but needs more on what we’ve seen. Should improve but needs plenty more to challenge the selection. At the bigger prices Little Mazzy has finished behind Whistle Me Home the last twice and doesn’t look likely to reverse that. Hard to recommend. The fav should have this.

Race 4 Tampa Bay Downs 7.12 Candy Cove (11/8)

THE US NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 11 AT GULFSTREAM ON FRIDAY!

Race 11 Gulfstream 10.13 Jakarta (13/8)

Likeable mare who has won two of her last four starts and impressed last time, comfortably on top in the closing stages; 2-2 over this track and trip and looks to have optimum conditions again; the one to beat.

We head to Gulfstream on Friday night for our second best bet and JAKARTA is fancied to make it 3-3 over this C&D. She is a speedy sort who looks to have plenty going for her again. In terms of a danger then it’s probably Miss Auramet who also brings winning form to the table. She has won her last 3 now so comes here bidding for a four-timer. This is significantly tougher though and I’ll be surprised if she can overhaul the selection. Tracy Ann’s Legacy won last time and might be a bit overpriced. This tougher but she is in good form and might be the value to run into a place. Hard to recommend much else in here and I’ll be surprised if the favourite doesn’t take this out.
