Sunday’s Best Bets
GYTO DD LANDED YESTERDAY! We head into Sunday with confidence high off the back of a NAP/ NB DD yesterday. Racing today from Plumpton, Catterick, Southwell & Fairyhouse.
Scroll down to find our most confident selections (NAP & NB) PLUS race-by-race picks for every race across all FOUR meetings.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) HAS NOW WON 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 6 DAYS! RUNS AT PLUMPTON ON SUNDAY!
Plumpton 1.53 Annual Invictus (11/8)
Likeable type who is improving fast winning easily at Lingfield before following up impressively here last month; double penalty to contend with but further progress to come up in trip and one to keep on side.
The NAP was back to winning ways on Saturday as Passional quickened up well to win going away at Wolverhampton. We’ve now had 5 WINNERS FROM OUR LAST 6 and we head to Plumpton on Sunday afternoon. The hat-trick seeking ANNUAL INVICTUS looks a good bet to go in again for Chris Gordon and Tom Cannon. It won’t be easy under a double penalty but he has really impressed the last twice and that’s been backed up by the clock. The extra yardage looks firmly in his favour having won an Irish point-to-point and he is proven in these conditions. Dorking Lad has been running to a consistent level and again ran well when second to Gortroe Joe at Market Rasen last time. Looks the main danger.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT CATTERICK ON SUNDAY!
Catterick 2.02 Frimeur De Lancray (6/4)
Looked a raw horse when fifth on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter; running well when taking a tumble at Catterick; fourth in a Listed race on return shaping well but looking to need it; will improve back up in trip; good chance.
Finisk River is a horse I like and some of his form is fairly strong but he needs to jump better and he looks to be bumping into a fellow improver in FRIMEUR DE LANCRAY for Sue Smith. The latter showed clear promise in both novice hurdles last term and he is expected to step forward markedly from that Haydock reappearance. He will do better as his stamina is drawn out and is strongly fancied to open his account at the fourth time of asking. Gold Desert caught the eye winning well at Catterick quickening up well close home and wasn’t disgraced when second to a smart horse last time but this is still quite tough. He could run his race without being good enough.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Plumpton and Catterick on Sunday afternoon.
