Race 6 Taree 6.00 No Laughing Matter (6/5)
Smart type who is 2 wins from 5 starts and unbeaten over this trip; scored by an effortless 4 lengths here last month and continues to trend the right way; this doesn’t look any tougher to me so obvious chance of going in again.
Crossbar rattled last night so hopefully we can go one better to start a new week. NO LAUGHING MATTER was a good winner last time and her overall profile makes for good reading. She can continue to improve and looks the most likely winner in this field. She is fitter now and has scope to really kick on so is a confident selection to justify favouritism here. Siesta Key also brings winning form to the table and has to be respected. She shouldn’t be too far away from the speed and has 2 wins over this trip already. Looks the danger to the favourite. Dark Euro won at Gold Coast last time. I expect him to run his race probably without being good enough.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT MORUYA ON MONDAY!
Race 4 Moruya 3.45 One Aye (13/8)
Improving filly who justified strong support to win her maiden by a convincing 6 lengths at Wagga last month; sure to step forward again and looks well placed to follow up; definitely one to keep safe right now.
We head to Moruya in the early hours of Monday morning for our second best bet Down Under and ONE AYE should prove hard to beat in Race 4 on the card. She is a filly on the upgrade and won impressively at Wagga last time. This is obviously tougher but she is going the right way and I expect her to take the required step forward to take this out. Clay Pan Boogie is open to improvement after just 4 starts and looks most likely to give the favourite a race. It’s 7/1 bar the rest and it doesn’t look to have too much strength in depth. Sir Eagle is 0/2 over this trip but does have some solid form in the book so might prove best of the remainder.
