Race 2 Stony Creek 3.00 Billie De Lune (11/8)
Good looking grey mare who has had a few chances already but she is coming to the boil now and this looks an obvious opportunity following a near miss at Wangaratta; if she settles better she’ll win; keep on side.
We’ve tipped BILLIE DE LUNE quite a few times now and she is yet to get off the mark with a record of 0/8 but I’m almost certain she is getting better and she has recent form figures of 2232 and won’t get many better chances than this. She was denied just a head last time having overraced for the most part. If she manages to settle better then her class will see her home in this contest. I’ve got to keep her on side and at 11/8 she looks a great bet. Silverdeel has only been to the racetrack twice and needs to do more on what we’ve seen. Has the scope to improve though so probably the one to give the favourite a race. Toramour needs to improve as ever than second at Moe isn’t good enough.

Race 3 Grafton 3.25 Two Smokin Barrels (6/4)
Likeable type who deservedly made the breakthrough at Doomben, thrashing his rivals; only fourth last time but not disgraced and can do better so looks the one to beat in this field; form progressive.
The way TWO SMOKIN BARRELS won his maiden was quite impressive and I know he was only fourth last time but that was a much better race than this and with a good low draw he can bag the rail and go right on with it. This won’t take a great deal of winning and it’ll be disappointing for connections if he can’t take it out before trying to hold his own in better company than this. Beckford has been scratched and has won 2 of his last 3 so his job has been made easier. Bullet Shot also drops in grade with a claim so has to be respected. He is around 8/1 in the betting and might be worth an each way saver ticking quite a few boxes. Kilmarnock won the 58 easily but found one too good latest.
