NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN IRELAND AT DUNDALK ON THE AW ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Dundalk 5.30 Blackstone Cliff (7/4)
Canford Cliffs gelding who stayed on well to get back to winning ways at Tipperary in September; too keen next start but ran out an impressive winner over C&D next time; hinted his turn was near again when close second latest.
Beaten less than a length over C&D on return BLACKSTONE CLIFF can go one better tonight. He has been steadily progressive and that was a big run in defeat last time. He remains open to improvement and should prove hard to beat this evening. Gormanston has also won over this track and trip in the past but he was down the field on return and has a bit to prove off the back of that. He was the best part of 3 lengths behind the selection on that occasion so has his work cutout to close that gap. Alhajjaj was fourth to Storm Elza last time and would be interesting if getting a run. He’d be the danger. Odd Venture might not be entirely straightforward but could run into a place.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT CHEPSTOW ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON!
Chepstow 1.50 Grumpy Charley (7/4)
Stayed on strongly to put Real Stone in his place over C&D 16 days ago; open to improvement and taken to confirm that form despite meeting on 7lb worse terms; hard to get away from however you break it down.
Real Stone is a promising horse himself and he has more of a chance here meeting on better terms but GRUMPY CHARLEY looks a smart prospect in the making and he is a good bet to follow up. He ran about a bit in front suggesting he is far from the finished article so if he progresses again he should confirm that form. Brewers Project was an expensive purchase and he opened his account over hurdles at Wincanton last time but that form hasn’t exactly been franked since so for me he has a bit to find to challenge the front two in the market. He is worth respecting though for a yard that can do no wrong. Auba Me Yank is best of the rest but he might need more time to be seen to best effect.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Chepstow and Dundalk on Friday.
