Race 5 Belmont Park 8.04 Technical Analysis (5/4)

Promising filly who caught the eye finishing third on debut just looking a bit clueless before keeping on; improved on that to win convincingly at Aqueduct when last seen in October; could take a big step forward now and most likely winner.

The US NAP rattled the crossbar yesterday so hopefully we can get back on the winning trail tonight. We head to Belmont Park where TECHNICAL ANALYSIS is expected to take a lot of beating. This filly is open to stacks of improvement and won in the style of a nice horse when last seen. This looks a good starting point for her this season before going onto better things and she’s one I want to keep firmly on side. Timed Out is prominent in the betting but she will only run if it switches to the main track so the fav should shorten up further come post time. Caldee is probably the danger as she was highly tried after winning on turf debut and like the selection can still do much better.

Race 5 Gulfstream 7.45 Hot Babe (7/4)

Unexposed filly who has caught the eye a few times in defeat; runner-up twice from five starts and probably did too much too soon after getting bumped early last time; leading claims now and should make the breakthrough.

We head to Gulfstream on Thursday night for our second best bet Stateside and HOT BABE should have a big say in Race 5 on the card. She was bumped at the start last time and that rather lit her up and I think she probably forced the pace too much. If she can get a toe in here she should be finishing best of all. She has the right profile to win a race of this nature and should prove a cut above these. Party Swagger has had just two starts and only once tried dirt so could have more to come but in truth she hasn’t shown a great deal so I’m happy to pass her over. Okalani looked fairly limited but will probably run a place. Holy Secret needs to improve on that last effort to have a say.
