NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT THE CURRAGH TODAY!
Curragh 3.45 High Definition (7/4)
Promising colt by Galileo; won both starts as a 2yo and just looked to need the outing when third to Hurricane Lane in the Dante at York on return last month; will improve up in trip again and looks one to keep firmly on side.
Aidan O’Brien has always spoke highly of HIGH DEFINITION and I know he was beaten on return in the Dante but he hit the line strong that day and with this extra couple of furlongs likely to unlock further improvement on just his fourth start I think he can win this before going onto better things. He is fresher than most here and should take a lot of beating. Hurricane Lane finished third in The Derby and that was a big run given he lost a couple of shoes and was off the bridle was most of it. He can give the fav a race but I think High Definition will have his measure this time over further. Mojo Star also ran huge at Epsom and has to enter calculations. Wordsworth can do better but still has it to prove.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) NOW RUNS OVER IN IRELAND AT THE CURRAGH!
Curragh 4.50 Sinawann (9/4)
Kingman colt who shaped with plenty of encouragement when third on return at Leopardstown; form from last year puts him a cut above these so if building on that he should get back to winning ways; the one to beat.
With an official rating of 114 SINAWANN should win this. He is 4lb clear and given he should strip fitter from that reappearance run he could go a couple better now and taste success again. His form as a 3yo was very good winning the Amethyst Stakes on his second start before chasing home Armory and Numerian here and then missing out by just a head to Safe Voyage at Leopardstown. He can be keen so it will be interesting to see what happens regarding pace as he might end up going forward and race prominently. Fourhometwo was a place in front of the selection last time but I think that form will be reversed for reasons stated above. State Of Rest has a tongue strap on and is also feared.
