Windsor 5.25 British EBF Maiden Stakes (GBB Race) (Class 5) 5f
A maiden to kick off the card and it looks wide open. AMIRAT ALWARD gets the vote after an eye catching performance on debut at Lingfield. She missed the break by a long way but made decent headway throughout the race to finish just over a length second. She gets the 5lb filly allowance and if getting away on terms she will go close in this. Even at the time of writing the money has started coming for her so she could end up going off a lot shorter.
The other filly that I like in the race is Dreams Of Thunder who was favourite to win last time after her impressive debut run. Her run last time was on softer ground and she didn’t capitalise on a winnable race and back on quicker ground she is the danger. Auditor is also worth a second look with Marquand in the saddle.
Windsor 5.55 British EBF Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Class 5) 6f
American Star will be a big danger if lining up but he only ran at Salisbury on Friday and this is going to come soon enough I think. His form is very solid chasing home Bosh at Newbury and then winning well by 2 lengths last time but even still DUBAI JEWEL has the potential to beat him. This filly by Showcasing took a big step forward from her debut run to chase home Zain Claudette at Newmarket. That filly came with a serious late rattle to peg back Desert Dreamer at Ascot on Saturday so the form has been nicely franked since. She should improve again and if she does she is a danger to all here.
Bar the front two Poet is an interesting contender making his debut for Roger Varian. He is a half-brother to Swiss Knight and could run well but I do think experience will be telling in the closing stages. Still worth keeping an eye on the market as I wouldn’t want to see too much support.
Windsor 6.25 Racing League On Sky Sports Racing Handicap (Class 4) 6f
This small but competitive handicap looks a decent little race and I quite like the chances of SPANISH STAR. He has been a close second on his last 3 starts but it’s his run here at the end of June over this distance that makes me think he will go very well. He carries 3lb more but missed the break and was keen that day suggesting he will win a race at this level sometime soon.
The main danger is Evasive Power who impressed with a win at Epsom before going really close at Newmarket Saturday. If he runs again on Monday off the same mark you have to think he will be in the mix again. Al Saariyah was pitched into a tough race last time and will find this easier.
Windsor 6.55 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap (Class 4) 1m
Sir Edward Elgar is likely to prove popular here as his form is very good but he tackles turf for the first time and I do think he is a bit short considering the opposition. VALUE TIP improved to win over C&D last time and given the second Neenee’s Choice has won since the form has been given a nice boost. He was always travelling powerfully the last day and found plenty for pressure when asked to assert. A small rise looks well within reach and if there is any rain that is likely to suit him as well.
The fav is the danger as the market is suggesting as he did well to win at Lingfield and only went down narrowly last time. He should go well but tactics could prove crucial and if the selection is able to dictate he might prove a tough nut to crack especially if there is a bit of cut in the ground.

Another competitive handicap and it is hard to rule any of these out. SWORD BEACH with Tom Marquand back on board edges it for me as he ran his best race last time they teamed up over course and distance last month. He lost out by half a length that day and is off the same mark on Monday night. If in the same form he will be bang there again.
Mafia Power is the favourite at the time of writing and has very similar course and distance form. He always runs well and I expect him to be there at the finish. He is evenly matched with the selection but Sword Beach is double the price.
Windsor 7.55 Silk Series Handicap (Pro-Am Female Jockeys) (Class 4) 5f
Just Glamorous won nicely at Salisbury and wasn’t given the best of rides at Chepstow last time so I can understand why he is favourite here but I’m keen to oppose with STRONG POWER. He didn’t run that well at Lingfield last time but this stiff finish will suit and he is down to a mark of just 73 now in what appears to be a winnable race. He has won off 75 in the past so is certainly handicapped to have a say and I think it looks a good opportunity for him to get back on track.
Pop Dancer should strip fitter from that Sandown run and could have a say. Secret Handsheikh has gone off the boil somewhat but his mark has eased as a result so he is also worth a second look.

The lucky last will hopefully be good to us again and I really like LISDARRAGH. He won over course and distance 2 runs back and lost out by a neck here last week. He gets to run off the same mark and he will take all the beating if in the same form.
I don’t think this is a deep race at all and if any are going to cause the selection any issues I think it would be the improving My Boy Charles or Bird To Love who has been running well on the all-weather.
