THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT DEL MAR ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 7 Del Mar 3.00 Smash Ticket (11/10)

Exciting filly who came on plenty for her promising debut run to win head in chest over 5f here last month; open to any amount of improvement so should follow up here before going up to Grade 1 company in time; keep firmly on side.

The US NAP runs in the early hours of Saturday morning but hopefully it is worth the wait. We head to Del Mar where the highly promising SMASH TICKET can successfully make the step up to graded company. She won in the style of a really talented filly last time and the step up to 6f is only going to bring about further improvement. She is clearly an exciting proposition and she should go off a warm order come post time. Elm Drive made a perfect start winning on debut by 8 lengths but she is very much being thrown in the deep end here. Looks the one to chase the favourite home though. Eda was denied just a nose on debut but should be a lot wiser here and looks comfortably best of the rest in a good race.

Race 6 Woodbine 12.24 Race For Pinks (11/10)

Needed the experience on debut when never a factor but a lot sharper last time always on the pace and showing a good attitude to go down just a length at the line; can improve again and looks a danger to all here.

I know this isn’t the best race but I think RACE FOR PINKS is comfortably clear in terms of potential. He ran a cracker when denied just a length last time and the drop back to 6f with added experience under his belt should see him come out on top now. Liverpool Man is the closest in the betting and he was behind the selection last month. He has since ran poorly on turf so has enough on his plate to try and reverse that form and I just can’t see it. Salty Candy ran well when second to Highland Society last time and could be the main danger on that piece of form but will need to build on it. Mr Souperstitious has been thrashed on both starts to date and is hard to recommend until he shows something.
